Rachel Bevan
Architect (MA Hons Edin. B’Arch Strath.)
Member of RSUA & RIBA

Studied Architecture at Edinburgh University & Glasgow's Strathclyde University. Registered Architect since 1988. Former experience with private practices in Scotland, public sector with Haringey Borough Council and was a Senior Architect/ team leader with Hull City Council responsible for major new housing and dock land developments, and estate housing renovation projects.

Established own practice in Northern Ireland 1992 and has received awards from RIAI and RSUA for "The Narrows" and The Old Mill. Other buildings have been published by Architecture Today and Perspectives on Architecture. Former member of NI. Building Regulations Advisory Committee from 1994-2001, Historic Buildings Council, RSUA’s Sustainability Committee and on RSUA Council. Experienced in integrating accessible design, conservation of historic buildings and specification of ecological building materials.

Currently part time teaching fellow at Ulster University department of Architecture.

Dr. Tom Woolley

Extensive practice experience in Scotland and London, specialising in the renovation of old buildings and working with community groups. Former Professor of Architecture at Queens University, Belfast. Editor of the award winning Green Building Digest, former Chairman of the Northern Ireland Building Regulations Advisory Committee from 1999. Undertaking research and consultancy work in ecological materials.

Author of extensive publications about sustainable construction.
